Pessac-Léognan and Graves from bottle 2016

Cannot recall a better Les Carmes Haut Brion red than the 2016. Buy it, today. But many other Graves shined in 2016, including Smith Haut Lafitte, Haut Bailly, Domaine de Chevalier and Malartic Lagravière. Do not hesitate to look at some fine showings from second wines, too, which I had tasted late last year at Château Bouscaut. Cheers!

Saint Emilion Multiplex 2016

By Panos Kakaviatos for wine-chronicles.com  14 June 2017 Saint Emilion tends to be rather heterogenous in quality in any vintage. Given its size, variations in terroir and in style. Pomerol power in 2016

By Panos Kakaviatos for wine chronicles.com  30 May 2017 Last year’s Pomerol Panache is followed by more serious tannin this year. Whatever the case, Pomerol now has a run of three excellent vintages in a row. With some exceptions, 2016 is the most powerful among the three – more Pauillac than Pomerol. 2014 showcases brightness, and 2015 more […]
